Cambodia is a country locating on the Indochina Peninsula in the Southeast Asia, bordering with the Gulf of Thailand to the south, in Eastern Thailand, Southern Laos and Western Vietnam. Cambodian official language is Khmer. Civilization 's first known appearance in Cambodia in the first millennium ; from 9th to 13th century.

Cambodia Political widely known abroad the period of the Khmer Rouge genocide, which caused major disruptions within the countries that were in favor of this mode. The country is nơ being ruled by King Norodom Sihanouk after he returned to the king in September 1993. This is a constitutional monarchy and the king does not actually run the country. At the end of October 2004 Norodom Sihanouk left the throne and Prince Norodom Sihamoni received.

The ruling party is now the Cambodian People's Party ( CPP ), the incumbent Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Cambodia is a member of the United Nations and the Association of Southeast Asian nations. The country has achieved relative stability in politics from the 1990s back here.

Population and language

Cambodia is a country with a homogeneous population of more than 90 % of the population speak Khmer and Khmer, the official language. The rest are Vietnamese, Chinese, Montagnards who live in mountainous north and northeast.

Theravada Buddhism known as Theravada which was destroyed by Khmer Rouge was restored as the official religion, with approximately 95 % of the population. Mahayana Mahayana Buddhism mainly concentrated in the Vietnamese community and the States. Islam and Brahmanism is also a popular religion.  Christians account for about 2 % of the population...
